et Coochie Progress wants to hear from you: Have your say on the island's future!

From jetty parking to health access and roads, share your priorities in the Coochie Progress Association survey.

The Coochie Progress Association has launched a island-wide community survey, inviting all Coochiemudlo Island residents to help shape the local advocacy agenda for the coming years. Whether you are a lifelong local or a recent arrival, your feedback is vital in ensuring our community’s collective voice is heard by council and local authorities.

Island living brings a unique set of daily challenges, and this survey is your direct opportunity to weigh in on key issues impacting our community:

Key Topics Covered in the Survey

  • Parking & Jetty Infrastructure: Share your thoughts on mainland parking at Victoria Point, on-island mobility scooter spaces, and rubbish collection around the jetty and parklands.

  • Welcome Swallows displacement let progress know how you feel about these little birds being excluded from their roosting and nesting places.
  • Health Services & Emergency Support: Tell us what level of on-island medical support, pathology access, or wellness services you want prioritized.

  • Dogs on beaches: Still an issue for many. Complete the survey to keep it on the agenda.

How to Take Part

It only takes a few minutes to complete the survey and make your voice heard. Every response directly informs the Coochie Progress Association's upcoming community initiatives and council discussions.

Good idea but surveys only work if lots of folks join in. Tell your neighbours!

Will do survey soon. Does anyone know if they're planning meetings too? Talking in person helps.

Filled it in and asked for better medical support. Can't keep relying on the ferry for everything.

Love that they're asking for our thoughts. I've lived here 6 months and have a few ideas already.

Always happy to give input. I just wish the council listened more often. Fingers crossed.

Took the survey, thanks. Can we also look at beach access for prams? Not just wheelchairs.

Done! I reckon golf carts should be allowed. Makes getting around much easier for us older folks.

Glad mobility scooter parking is getting mentioned. Not everyone can walk far from the barge.

Health services on the island really need attention. I put that in my answers. Hope something is done.

Just did the survey. Would love to see better rubbish bins near the jetty. It gets messy on weekends.
